I can make 23 March at the Kings Head. Why don't we all arrive with a book in hand? It will be an easy way to recognize one another (not too many people go the pub to read!), and we could perhaps use the books as an ice-breaker (talk about why we chose it, the writing, etc.). Any thoughts?
It's probably easiest to just call a mobile when people arrive and then we can wave like loons from an agreed part of the pub (the large bay window seats would work woell). This relies on the assigned mobile-carrier to be there early, which isn't going to be me as I have a tardiness compulsion (i.e. small children). Any volunteers?
I like the idea of a writers' networking event. Everyone will be looking to steal everyone else's ideas, but pretending to be really polite.

P.S. as we are at the nerve centre of Bearwood's cultural life, the Crafty Muthas are having a craft fair in St Mary's church hall on Saturday 9th April from 10 - 4. You may be able to find someone who could hand bind a manuscript, you never know.
